LOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, finally we are LOA!!!!!!!!!! Our letter of acceptance came on Friday. It was stamped and sent from China on 12/19/07, delivered to our agency, picked up and signed by Will and me on 12/21/07, returned to the agency and will be back in China on 12/24/07, which just happens to be Christmas Eve. We are over the moon with excitement, anxiety, and nerves! Now we wait for TA (our travel approval) and then finally, we will be off to China. Can you even believe it? We look forward to our next post because that is when this whole journey will actually be beginning.

It is sooooo hard waiting for my mom and dad to come get me! We are currently on day 65! Hopefully, we will be hearing something soon!

LID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are LID!!!!!!!!! We just received word today from our agency that they received official word from China that we were logged in on September 28th. Now, we just have to sit tight and wait for our LOA and TA! We are coming baby JJ!

Paperwork

Hello all,
We are still in the WAITING process. Sometimes it doesn't seem so bad and we are excited and other times, the wait seems like it will never end. It is during these times we rely heavily on family and friends, specifically niece and nephew. It is impossible to be sad around the two of them! Thank God for that! Next Sunday, will be the baby shower, and I can't wait for that. We will spend this week making sure everything is set and then we will probably spend next week putting things together, (or Willy will) In preparation for the shower Will and I put together a slide show about JJ and in doing took out the 4, (yes four-4-quatro) packets of paper work to take pictures of and to remind us of how far we have come. Just thought we would share that with you. It really has been an eye opening experience!

Duece keeps us busy!

At least Duece keeps us busy! He can't wait for his new friend, baby JJ to come home! Until then, he will keep watch over the neighborhood from atop the mighty deck! Oh, and when will the snow be coming back?

DTC Day

September 13, 2007
After 10 months of paperwork, fingerprints, paperwork, biometrics (?), paperwork, waiting, homestudy, waiting, paperwork, phone calls to the agency, phone calls from the agency, and oh yeah; more waiting............ we are finally, officially DTC! Oh, and now we wait some more for LID, LOA, and eventually TA!

We were expecting and told by our agency that we would be DTC on Tuesday or Wednesday and they both came and went with no word. Then, while at school on Thursday (which was also my birthday) I received a phone call in the office. If that didn't send my heart a pumpin' . When I got on the phone, it was the woman at our agency telling me not to worry when I read the email that she had just sent (saying our authentication from the consulate had yet to arrive). Our paperwork had just arrived and was already being redirected and put in with our dossier to go to China. Hopefully, not on a slow boat!
